What does a Mental Health First Aider do?

A Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) provides initial support and assistance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges or crises. They are trained to identify signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and offer guidance and support until professional help is available. Essentially, they act as a first point of contact, helping to reduce stigma and promote a supportive environment.
